A modern love story, Cole and Lindsay met on Tinder and quickly became good friends, sharing common interests of biking and music.

March 2019

After a PUP show at Bluesfest, Cole asked Lindsay to be his girlfriend after a few months of dating!

July 6 2019

Cole and Lindsay moved in together and took on the big city!! This is where they also adopted sweet perfect angel Stoli the cat.

January 2021

Missing the pals over in Ottawa and finishing school in Toronto, Cole and Lindsay moved back to the Nations capital. Shortly after, they adopted fun loving maniac Beans the dog.

September 2023

They got engaged down on a trip to Costa Rica, by a secluded little river while talking about the excitement of spending the rest of their lives together

Alana and Lindsay met in 2017 and have travelled Asia, been roommates and most recently neighbours over their years of friendship. Alana is organized, fun and the life of the party! Most importantly, she is one of the most loyal and supportive friends a gal could ask for. The easiest choice for Lindsay's Maid of Honour.

Sabrina and Lindsay met in 2017 flipping burgers together at your local burger joint. Their friendship has grown in many ways over the years as they also travelled Asia together! Sabrina is one of the most thoughtful people and a huge support system for Lindsay. They have countless memories dancing together, going on long walks with Beans and having lots of laughs.

Jaden and Lindsay met in 2019 when she started dating Cole. She has quickly become one of her favourite humans as they always bring the weird out of each other. Jaden is a great friend, emotional support, and truly knows how to make everyone in the room break into laughter.

Miranda and Lindsay met in 2019 as their fiancees (Cole and Graeme) were roommates and both couples started dating around the same time! Miranda is an incredibly loyal and giving friend who's unique sense of humour always cracks you up. She truly is a great foundation for Lindsay and the rest of the friend group.

Kristen is Lindsay's sister in law and met in 2018. Lindsay always wanted a sister growing up and Kristen has been the best support in every way. Kristen understands Lindsay on a very deep level. Plus she's great at always bringing the laughter and good vibes during family outings.

Lindsays oldest friend, Jazzy has been in her life since she was 4 years old! They have been through every phase of life together. No matter what life stage they are in they always find their way back to each other. Jazzy is kind, caring and a deeply empathetic person...not to mention an absolute wild card who can bring her all to every party!

Among the many things Graeme has been for Cole since 2015 are a roommate, friend, confidant, and moral compass. Young Graeme and Cole met as starry-eyed, naive first-years on the first day of Frosh Week at Carleton University by complete chance. Unknown to both of them at the time, this random person they had just met would change their lives. Their time as roommates on Holmwood, Arlington, and Carlyle produced some of the most fun, formative, and downright hilarious moments they’ve ever had. In Graeme, Cole found a friend for life, someone with an outside chance at beating him in beer pong, and one of the best human beings he has ever met. Cole is honoured to have Graeme standing with him when he makes his commitment to Lindsay. 

Graeme Gibson

Adam and Cole have often joked that they don’t remember meeting. One day they were just in each other’s lives, and that was that. And boy howdy, everyone is better for it. As a friend of Graeme Gibson, Adam made Cole feel welcome in a friend group he was originally an outsider to. Since then, Cole and Adam have been handing out belly laughs to each other and anyone willing to listen to their babblings. Both have moved cities, Adam to Victoria, Cole to Toronto, but whenever they’re together, it always feels like old times on Carlyle Ave in Ottawa. Cole counts Adam among his closest friends and is proud to have him in his wedding party.

The Coles met in 2004 when Cole Ernewein transferred to Holy Family Elementary School. They are each other’s oldest friends. They shared countless foot races, wrestling contests, Halo matches, and general shenanigans that could fill a lifetime of memories. And despite the endless confusion that comes from best buds sharing the same name, Cole Lapierre is proud to have gone through childhood and into adulthood with Cole Ernewein. The Coles have been in each other's lives for over 20 years and will continue to be for many more. It’s only fitting that the Coles stand together for Cole Lapierre and Lindsay’s special day.

Rob has a special way of making Cole feel welcome. As a nervous 24-year-old going on a trip to Kingston to visit with Lindsay’s family, Rob and Cole bonded over hockey, baseball, and maybe a few drinks. Unbeknownst to Rob at the time, Cole knew nothing about baseball and was simply trying to steer the conversation back to the NHL (or maybe he did know and saw through Cole's bullshit). Since then, Cole and Rob have been to a number of baseball games from the Titans in Ottawa to the Jays in Toronto, and Cole now thinks he likes baseball. Cole is an only child, and for Cole, a perk of marrying Lindsay is that Rob is now family. Cole is very happy to have his future brother-in-law standing beside him for this important moment.

Dan and Cole truly had ‘Did we just become best friends!? YEP!’ moment. Dan and Cole met in Toronto and immediately proceeded to make fools of themselves at a karaoke bar on Spadina. Cole and Lindsay returned to Ottawa and ended up living in the unit below Dan and Alana. The four of them became close and came to rely on one to make all their lives easier. A thousand laughs, pool shots, and good times later, Cole counts Dan as a special person and is happy to have him join him on this day.

In a shocking turn of events, Cole has asked Stephen Moffett, a Boston Bruins fan, to be in his wedding party, proving once again that Toronto Maple Leafs fans are masochists and do nothing to help themselves. Stephen and Cole met through Jaden, and Cole quickly became enamoured with Stephen, maybe to a fault. They talk hockey and share a unique sense of humour. Stephen and Cole are new friends, but they've already traded stories and built inside jokes like old ones. Cole always enjoys when Stephen is down to hang out and incessantly asks ‘is Stephen coming’, and that’s why he was so happy when Stephen said yes to being his groomsman.

Q + A

Uber is available to drop you off at the venue but can be tricky for pick up after the event. You can also drive to the venue and park your car until 10am the next morning if you decide to cab home. There are several taxi companies in the area. When wanting to depart, we suggest that you contact a cab company at least one hour before you would like them to arrive.

The town of Carleton Place is the closest town to our venue. Attached are several options based on budget for accommodation. If you're looking for hotel, air BNB or camping; we recommend booking within Carleton Place.

Summer colours and earth tones are encouraged! We want you to feel cool and comfortable in something that you feel good in. "High" high heels are discouraged as the ceremony and cocktail hour will be in the woods and garden. Please keep in mind that the August long weekend is historically one of the hottest of the year so please dress accordingly!

We kindly ask that you refrain from wearing any shade of green as it is reserved for the bridal party.

We've included an optional colour palette below for outfit inspiration; but not necessity!

Living together for the past 5 years we've truly acquired all that we could need! In lieu of gifts there will be a card box available for well wishes and monetary gifts that we hope to put towards a future house or honeymoon.
